We were very fortunate that no casulties happened during the parade.
All participating were very considerate when throwing candy at the crowd. Carolyn and Betty were in compliance by wearing their orange
sand bucket hats for safety purposes. I was a little concerned that
Frank and Cinda might have some health issues because the ac was tooooo cold. Also, how many times does it take to get the table
arrangement designed for breakfast?

Class of 73 & 74 reunion weekend

Friday night Pizza group

Having entirely too much fun on the float.
Hi all,
We had a great turnout for our Reunion Friday and Saturday.
We got together for Pizza and conversation Friday night. A special word was said for Kent Isaacson and donations were taken to contribute to the College fund for his son.
Even though it was early Saturday morning we still had a good group for breakfast.
After Breakfast we all went our different ways to get ready for the parade.
I want to give special thanks to Betty for providing her Dad's truck and all the decorations. A special thanks also to Frank for providing the trailer and thanks to all that brought candy to throw at the kids, (I mean to the kids)
Did you hear we took first place in our category! Hooray! The prize money was donated to the Kent Isaacson college fund. Fun times were enjoyed by all.

Class 73 & 74 Get Together coming up soon!!!!
Hey All,
Don't forget all our plans for the class of 73 & 74 to get together during the Callao Fiesta this month.
Friday night we are going to get together at the Macon Pizza Hut. Bring any pix or yearbooks to reminisce over.
On Saturday June 13th we will plan to get together at the Long Branch Restuarant for breakfast about 7am.
On Saturday after the breakfast, it has been mentioned that there is some interest in putting in entry in the parade. Something along the lines of a truck where we could ride in the back and throw out candy. We will make some signs to show we are the alumni classes of 73 & 74. If anyone is interested in participating with that, please let me know.~ Sharon

Do you remember???
Who remembers what the theme was for the 1973 Prom? And did we do the Promenade before the prom where they introduced the couples?

School Song
For Callao we'll do or die
To keep our colors in the sky.
Orange and black will stay in sight
For fame and glory come what might
We'll volunteer a great big cheer
To show our foes with have not fears
Because our spirits vow to guarantee
Another Callao victory.
Tune : Washington and Lee Swing (modified)
C-a-l-l-a-o, Callao is our name
No matter if we win or lose; we love to play the game!

Good blog for connecting Callao alumni
This is great; long time since connected with many from CHS. Hope some from class of '68 see this. Hoping for a big 40th get together at the Fiesta. Connections here with '69 also, so joint reunion would be great. Thanks for creating the blog; we will be checking it regularly. Richard and Cathy G.

music
As you can see and hear....I have added music. It will auto start but you can hit the stop button on the player if you don't want to listen. If you have some music you want me to add let me know and see if can find it and get it added. I am sure you are like me....some of those oldies can bring on a flood of memories. So here is some audio to go along with everyone's visit to Callao Alumni.

Wow. The ooks pretty cool. I've never blogged before, though.
I'd like to help out any way I can for the weekend in question, but as some of you may know, I've been tagged to provide (i.e. pay for), coordinate (beg), and run (turn knobs) the PA sound for the show Saturday night. Of all things, my little brother has been singing in some well-known places down in Nashville for the past few years and, somehow, he got picked to bring his band up to Callao to play Saturday night. He specializes in Texas swing and early CW.
I don't know if many of you remember, but I'm definitely NOT a big fan of country or western music (not that there's anything wrong with it). But, since I AM a fan of rock and being the professional's that we are, my son and I still have to try and provide decent sound for the audience. We only take comfort in knowing that we'll be blowing more power out into the crowd than they did at Woodstock (which really wan't all that much), assuming the circuit breakers up at the fairgrounds can handle it. Plus, like some wise man once said, "If you can't hear very well, move in closer!". Only groupies in the first 4 rows, please.

Good going Diane!
Steve, I heard Diane put this together! lol Looks great to me! I reserved the big room at Long Branch Restaurant from 7-10am Saturday June 14th for our Fiesta get-to-gether. We can have it longer if we want. The cost is $100 but all food we eat is deducted from this. I hope this site catches on & is used by all, regularly!

Adding Authors
Feel free to add other alumni to the blog. Go to customize....then settings...then permissions....then type in email addresses to add authors.
You don't have to be an "author" in order to comment or read a post....you just have to be an author to create new posts.
As this should grow over time we perhaps will start another blog and divide up by graduation year or something.
If you have any questions let me know....I will ask Diane....:-)

Howdy Hey!
Well....let's give this a try...let me know what you think. I hope this will give us an opportunity to keep up with what is going on with each other.
